A decadent French classic, this rich and flavorful dish is perfect for a special occasion.  Serve with crusty bread for mopping up the delicious sauce.

- Fresh Mussels - Shallots - Garlic - Oil and cream - Parsley - Salt and pepper

Simple Ingredients:

STEP 1:  Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the shallots and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

STEP 2 : Add the white wine and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the wine has reduced by half.

STEP 3 : Add the mussels, cover the pot, and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the mussels have opened. Discard any mussels that do not open.

STEP 4 : Stir in the cream, parsley, salt, and pepper.

STEP 5: Serve immediately with crusty bread.

If you do not have fresh parsley, you can substitute dried parsley or another herb, such as thyme or rosemary.
